Restricting abortion access does not prevent people from having abortions; it causes people to have abortions under unsafe circumstances from potentially untrained providers without access to emergency care. Access to safe and legal abortion saves lives.
If you've been around for a while, you might remember that this pin used to support the abortion rights lobby. While I still think lobbying and advocacy groups are an important tool in the fight, I've decided to shift the majority of my financial support to abortion funds like Chicago Abortion Fund. These organizations are the boots on the ground helping people access abortion care right now, and in the current landscape, they're more important than ever.
